What’s the difference between classic and certified helmets?
What’s the difference between classic and certified helmets?
While visually both helmets look similar, there is a difference in the foam inside the helmets. Inside the Classic Helmet there is a 2-stage foam which is very comfortable and lightweight, while inside the Certified Helmet there is a very hard foam inside called EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) foam that is attached to the outer plastic of the helmet. There is also a softer layer of foam as well, closer to the head for comfort. Therefore, the Certified helmet has greater protection overall.
