Born From Hire

Crooze Electric Bicycles was established on the Gold Coast way back in 2011, when founders Ollie and Andrae Mueller began a electric bike hire shop, which was uncommon at the time. We were the first in Australia to rent out Pedego Electric Bikes. Once customers returned from their day of riding,  they just wanted to know how they could get their hands on one. 

Back in those days, electric bikes were very new to the world, new technology which then created teething problems, plus the high rental usage, those initial ebikes were just not designed or cut out for harsh Australian conditions.

We began sourcing quality and reliability that we needed, we had to build our own ebikes, not only for hire purposes but with the intention to sell these bikes to our future customers, so then the Crooze was born.

Crooze ebikes have been designed with simplicity in mind and reliability, so in the event of any failure, the bikes are be easy to fix. This is achieved by using all generic high quality branded components, which are quick to swap out, replace, get the bike going again without delay, which is expected by our valued customers.

Our bikes now require the same if not less maintenance than your normal everyday push bike, even changing flat tyres is easy. Our frames are build rock solid, held together with stainless steel screwings and spokes in the wheels are a lot thicker than the norm. 

All aspects of our Crooze bikes have been incredibly brought together from amazing comfort with upright seating, the faultless powerful motors, to the uniquely protected centrally positioned No.1 branded Samsung Lithium battery. We have not only created the most reliable, toughest performing E-bikes, we believe that Crooze is Australia’s Coolest looking range of Electric Bicycles.
